Because of its location Puerto Chiapas has become a development center for the state of Chiapas and the Southeast of Mexico, for this reason it is extremely important to have a fixed route that meets the demands of our customers.
In response to this need, in the second quarter of 2012, to promote the maritime authorities and commercial development in Puerto Chiapas, were held meetings with three major Shipping Lines: "Bulk Shipping Mexico" (BSM), "TMM Group" and "APM Terminals".
Which met in Puerto Chiapas having as vision, promoting cabotage to improve the conditions of transportation systems. The project idea is to create a modern and harmonious regional system to reduce costs and accelerate the speed of logistics for business at Chiapas to move the cargo from the port.
The importance of the meeting was centered on informing and involve companies that have interest to do export, import and cabotage, resolving all doubts and showing both shipping lines, the interest we have in this great project, which is undoubtedly an excellent development opportunity for our region and to generate options for this port.
