In Puerto Chiapas we appreciate the fundamental role of women in Mexican society, that is why the Port Authority of Puerto Madero in coordination with Procesa celebrated women workers of the port. Every March 8th, since 1975, a date recognized by the United Nations celebrating the International Women's Day for their participation on equality with men in society and its entire development as persons, but beyond these important aspects, special qualities are present: they are studious, loving, dedicated, hardworking, daughters, mothers, wives, girlfriends, aunts, grandmothers, etc. Many professionals who fight for their ideals, face life and are an essential part in the decision making of their homes.

On Saturday March 5 in the framework of International Women's Day it took place the event "Mujeres Adelante" in order to recognize the work and effort of all women who daily give their best to meet all. They are playing roles and likewise promote in society gender equality, to end discrimination and violence against women and girls. The event was held at the indoor court of Puerto Madero in a time of 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. where Puerto Chiapas recognized the efforts and dedication of women entrepreneurs and workers, living an event full of happiness, joy and fun for all women, where they enjoyed a special day in which talks, workshops, regional dances, zumba session and haircuts were provided for free.
