Japanese warships arrived to Puerto Chiapas

As part of the celebrations for 400th anniversary of trade and fraternal relations between Mexico and Japan, today cruise ships YAMAHIRI and Kashima SAWAYUKI will dock at about 8:00 hrs.

As part of the celebrations for 400th anniversary of trade and fraternal relations between Mexico and Japan, today cruise ships YAMAHIRI and Kashima SAWAYUKI will dock at about 8:00 hrs.

Japanese war ships the Yamahiri rate of 137 m, length with 3,500 GRT, and the Sawayuki 130 meters long and 2.950 GRT, and the Kashima 143 meters length with 4.050 GRT are carrying about 700 crew.

On ships arrival a formal event will be made with greeted words of appreciation, dances and recognition delivery, followed by different events in Acacoyagua and Puerto Madero where a wreath in memory of the first Japanese in Mexico and Tapachula will be placed where the cultural week in Japan will also be inaugurated.

During the vessels stay at Puerto Chiapas, general public will be admitted to the Cruise Terminal where all the services available will be given to make this stay one of the most pleasant and attractive.

Puerto Chiapas is honored to be one of the ports chosen to celebrate the 400 year relationship with Japan and to receive such important visitors.
